Saint Mary Magdalene Catholic School Advisory Committee
Five Year Long-Range Plan
The STMM School Advisory Committee (SAC) voted to approve a new Long Range Plan (LRP) at its meeting on January 9th, and that plan appears here. This plan, which updates the previous plan put in place in 2003, was the result of a year’s work by the SAC, and is the direct result of feedback obtained in focus groups and surveys from STMM parents, teachers, and staff. The intent has been to establish a plan that lays out goals that are actionable, measurable, and attainable while meeting the stated needs of STMM stakeholders.
It is the opinion of the SAC that in order to measure our progress in fulfilling our goals, we first need to establish baselines that tell us where we are today. Over the remainder of this school year, we will work with STMM staff to gather the data we need, and will report that information to the community as appropriate. Looking ahead, we envision the possibility of “Annual Reports to Stakeholders” in which our community will be apprised of how well we are performing in achieving our goals.
This plan is not written in stone. We consider it to be a living document that will develop and evolve as the needs of the STMM community change. In that sense, the plan will never truly be “done.”
If you have questions or comments on how this plan came to be, please address them to Bill O’Neill at billandpaula@nc.rr.com, with STMM LRP in the subject line.
