Frequently Asked Questions

How do I start or fund my student’s account?

  • Checks can be made payable to STMM and
    • dropped off in the front office in the lunch mail slot
    • your child may take it to his/her teacher
    • your child may give it directly to Mrs. Tucker, (or the lunch program cashier) during his/her lunch hour
  • Please put payment in an envelope marked with the student name, and addressed to the Lunch Program
  • There are no required amounts to fund your account. Funding is based on individual use.
  • Students lunches are priced as follows:
    • PreK - 4th grade: $2.75
    • 5th - 8th grade: $3.25
    • Sides $0.50
    • Snacks $0.50
    • Ice Cream $0.75

How do I know when my child’s account is running low?

  • Students will get a reminder from the lunch program sent home if their account is running low. A slip will be sent home with your child

What happens if my child’s account is negative or my child forgets his lunch money?

  • Your child will be given lunch, but will not be allowed to buy snacks. A note will come home alerting you that your child’s account is negative or that they were given lunch without money.

How do I find out my child’s balance?

How or what can I restrict on my child’s account?

  • You can block snacks (a la carte snacks list) on your child’s account. This prevents your child from purchasing snacks during the lunch hour. You will need to write a note and send it into the cafeteria managers.

Do I have to set up an account?

  • No, you can send money in each day

What happens to my account at the end of each school year?

  • Balances are rolled over to the next year.  Children not returning to STMM, may get a refund for a balance in excess of $5.00. The business manager, Mrs. Lattner, will issue a refund check
  • Lunch account balances must be paid in full in order to receive the end of the year report card

Is lunch served on early release days?

  • On 11:30 a.m. release days lunch is not served.
  • If the students are released at 1:30 p.m. or 2 p.m. lunch will be served

Can I come and eat lunch with my child and how do I know what time my child eats lunch?

  • Yes, parents are welcome to each lunch with their child. Please check in at the front office and get a visitor’s badge before walking to the cafeteria
  • You may also bring lunch for your child – please remember that STMM is a nut free zone. (CHIC-FIL-A IS NOT PERMITTED as they use peanut oil to cook their food)
